Artiest CarmenLucia

Product introduction at the EU parliament in Brussels

Artwork by CarmenLucia symbolizes the relations between countries joining hands.

Smetlede, Belgium - The unique economic and political partnership between 28 European countries, and the upcoming elections in May 2014, inspired EU entrepreneur, but foremost European artist CarmenLucia, into creating two pieces of art. Two mannequin hands bearing flowers. And a second decorative piece, which is showing an open hand. Both these pieces are symbolizing hospitality and generosity. ‘When we cooperate, we are ultimately choosing a life of overflow and abundance.’ says CarmenLucia in addition to her latest work.

Counter display with business cards
The hands fit a hospitable environment. For instance, in a hotel or at a restaurant. As a counter display with business cards. Or when you need an alternative means to display your merchandise. Create an impact and leave an impression , you can use CarmenLucia’s accessory forms. The options are for hats, gloves, scarves and jewellery. Anything that the mind can conceive. As a symbol to represent hospitality, cooperation and generosity

Hand-painted mannequin hands

The hands are beyond traditional finishing. They have a multi-layered thin film coating with a full scatter of multi-coloured paint flakes. Close-up, the small colour flakes from underlying layers, included in the paint, create a sparkling effect. The paint, which appears as subtly different colours depending on the angle and intensity of the light, and "flip" colours where the colour changes more radically (e.g. from purple to orange) depending on the viewing angle. ‘Painting this way can reveal the contours of bodywork more than non-metallic, or "solid" paint’, says CarmenLucia, who personally paints the hands and adds love and attention to every detail of the object.

Preserved Roses
Parallel to her work as a floral artist, in all of her creations, she uses natural and organic elements. She strives to be innovative, and therefore chooses an unique treatment of fresh flowers, the Preserved Rose. CarmenLucia’s Preserved Roses last more than 5 years as long as they are not over exposed to the sun or high humidity. The flowers do not wither.
